E- Waste recycling
Rapid developments in technology daily generates more discharged electronic equipment, considering this e-waste (electronic waste) growths at 4% per year, more than household waste.
E- waste such as printed circuit, cathode ray tubes (CRT) and LCD display contain a variety of heavy metals and other substances that involve health and environment risks by inappropriate disposal, this include, among others: Cadmium, Lead, Mercury, Antimony and Arsenic.
Properly recycling this waste, not only avoids the risk of leakage into groundwater, but also helps to recover a large part of the components which are returned to the production cycle as raw material for other products. DEGRAF advises companies in the management and e-waste administration to ensure compliance with existing regulations.

Strategic assets destruction
DEGRAF works with a strict procedure of assets destruction and confidential files, operation that is implemented in the customer's presence or a notary public’s presence. The company has the necessary technology in order to ensure the total disabling and ensures proper waste disposal, providing a Certificate of Destruction to the client.
Some strategic assets are principally:
- Credit cards
- Magnetic tapes
- Hard drives
- VHS
- Compact disc
- Advertising material
- Stationary
- Corporate clothing

Disposal of lead acid batteries
The Supreme Decree 148/2003 MINSAL (Ministry of Health), “Reglamento Sanitario Sobre Manejo de Residuos Peligrosos” ("Hazardous Waste Management Regulations"), includes as hazardous waste disposed lead-acid batteries, both whole and pre-crushed. In order to stop the export of disposed lead-acid batteries, in January 3, 2011, a ban takes effect which regulates the cross- border movements of disposed lead-acid batteries.
DEGRAF is an authorized destination of these wastes, ensuring the safety thought a process ensuring traceability in compliance with the legislation in force.
Type of batteries:
- Vehicles
- Computation (UPS)
- Systems of alarm and vigilance
- Support of telephonic systems, etc.
Disposition of offset printing plates
This residue is 100% recyclable, with a great market demand because of its high purity. However, during the marketing process is necessary to take some precautions because of these plates can contain strategic information that could be reused on the informal market.
DEGRAF assures to the customers the full destruction and recycling of this material.
Hazardous waste management
DEGRAF ensures authorized disposal of hazardous waste such as batteries, fluorescent tubes, toner and ink cartridge, etc.
All these wastes are transferred to authorized final disposal plants, with the proper Certificate.

Authorized transportation of hazardous waste
DEGRAF has authorized vehicles for the transport of hazardous waste and trained personnel to ensure their effective management, ensuring an efficient and secure removal.
